I have talked about this a lot. What keeps you hooked to the crypto realm? Don’t worry, I am not going to use the words like Ikagai etc. (Although it is exactly that). But more than often when I bring up this topic, the conversation sways towards gigantic returns crypto has to offer.
And I don’t blame people for that. There’s just too much noise. Every other day you would find an NFT or a crypto breaking the barriers of rationale and sensibility for investors. As I write this blogpost on 31st of October, a squid game based crypto has given 2400% returns in last 24 hours. A fundamentally sound crypto $MANA has risen up to 190% and our infamous meme coin $SHIB has simply given 6x returns in a week. Also, if you had invested $8,000 in SHIB in the starting of the year, you would have had $5bn by now. Crazy right? But that’s still not the reason why I eat, drink, breath crypto!
Blockchain and Crypto is way more than that. For me, money is a by product of this motive. You see I get bored really easily. I need a constant brain simulation to stay intrigued. And god knows that cryptocurrency has provided me with that every single moment. In the words of Sandeep Nailwal, founder, Polygon (Matic), “One normal calendar year is equal to three months in crypto”. That’s how fast things change here and I love to attempt to be ahead of the curve. So as a giver, today, I plan to reveal top 5 resources that have helped me learn cryptocurrency and blockchain.
A. Influencers:
Instagram and YT are notorious for keeping people hooked on to their platforms for all wrong reasons. However, if you follow the right people, you can change that. These two platforms kickstarted my crypto journey like nothing else could. Today, I want to express my gratitude to these influencers by mentioning them:
A.1. Rohas Nagpal:
Rohas Nagpal is a blockchain architect and a cyber crime investigator. I have been following stalking him on every platform. He has a YouTube channel, Instagram Page, LinkedIn profile and a podcast on all famous platforms. The way he mellows down crypto jargons and cuts the noise from the facts is amazing. Also, since he is from a coding background, he sees the world of crypto from a lens which is not siloed with money.

He even has his own crypto project called Wrapped Asset Project. You can explore his website for more information and tons of free resources that will help you take your game up a notch.
A.2 Super Team (Erstwhile Super Pumped)
This is YouTube channel hosted by Akshay BD and Tanmay Bhatt. It features lengthy videos (~40mins) with founders of some great projects in cryptocurrency. They are currently involved with Solana blockchain and cover projects being built on Solana in detail.
I have learnt so much from this channel. It is packed with facts and fun (thanks to witty humor by Tanmay and Akshay).
Some of my favorite episodes include the ones with Team Polygon and EPNS.
B. Books:
For people who want to learn more about blockchain technology and its applications, here are 5 of the best books on the subject.

- “Cryptoassets” offers an introduction to blockchain for investors, including basic concepts, a valuation framework, and practical details on getting started.
- “Blockchain Revolution” takes a look at how blockchain technology might transform the ways we live and trade in the future.
- “The Book of Satoshi” helps readers to understand the blockchain from the perspective of its creator, the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto.
- “The Basics of Bitcoins and Blockchains” provides a comprehensive overview of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, serving as an excellent introduction for people new to the industry.
- “The Blockchain Developer” is a powerful resource for those interested in digging into the technical aspects of blockchain work to start new or continue existing projects.
I have personally read Blockchain revolution and The Basics of Bitcoins and Blockchains. Other books have been recommended by my peers in this space and I am sure they would add a lot of value to your journey.
C. Courses:
There are tons of courses out there (free and paid both) if you are serious about diving into this rabbit hole. Here are a few courses that I have personally taken on this road:
C.1. The History of Money by Preethi Kasireddy:
Preethi is a solidity developer and has been working on multiple crypto projects. She has also launched her bootcamp program to teach solidity to newbies. She hosts a brilliant course on her website. It’s free of cost and you don’t have to do it all at once. It is divided into easy chapters which are delivered to your mailbox at regular intervals so you can complete it with ease.
This one talks about how Bitcoin even came into existence and what is the problem with existing system of money.

C.2. The Blockchain School:
Founded by Saurabh Sharma, The Blockchain School is offering multiple courses on cryptocurrencies. These courses can be handy if you are just flirting with this space OR want to become a blockchain developer for real. I took one course on Polygon and really loved the content and delivery.
D. Content Creation:
Weird? Actually not. I see it this way. If I ask you to read one article related to cryptocurrency everyday, you might fail. But if I ask you to post something about cryptocurrency on LinkedIn, you’ll go that extra mile to make it happen.
Secondly, it is extremely important to incorporate multiple view points while you are on your learning journey. Books, content consumption, courses etc. are all one way modes. But when you post your thoughts, you open it for the world to contradict or agree with you. And that’s when the learning happens!
E. Pandatechie:
If you are following this blog for a while now, you may not need to read ahead. But I would go ahead and shill myself for the ones visiting place for the first time.
I was crypto baptized about three years ago and currently eat, drink and shit crypto every god damn moment.
So if you want to learn along, hop in and hit that subscribe button.
Conclusion:
Well, if you are thinking that was it, you’re quite wrong. Apart from enormous learning opportunity, cryptoverse has this vibe. A very youthful and vibrant community is backing it up. So much so that losing money is celebrated equally here. If you wish to jump on crypto bandwagon, hit me up!
Apart from the ways mentioned above, do join some communities and TG groups (Eg. CoinDCX) that are constantly creating awareness.
